Our client in the Media and Communications Industry seeks to hire for the role of SENIOR PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALIST.

Job Requirements:

B.Sc./HND in communications or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Corporate Communications, or a similar role.
Experience managing media relations.
Background in researching, writing, and editing publications.
Proficient in MS Office and social media platforms.
Strong working knowledge of a variety of public relations programs.
NIPR certification, PRCAN membership.

Key responsibilities include:

Develop, implement, and execute successful public relations campaigns and media relations strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams and maintain open communication with management.
Edit and update promotional material and publications (brochures, videos, social media posts, etc.).
Build relationships with new media contacts and maintain relationships with existing contacts.
Prepare and distribute press releases.
Organize PR events and prepare key leaders for press interviews.
Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising.
Address inquiries from media and other parties.
Track media coverage and follow industry trends.
Prepare and submit PR reports.
Manage PR issues.
