Our Client in the financial Service industry is looking to hire for the role of HR Generalist & Legal
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree.
- Minimum of 3yrs relevant work experience in a Similar role.
- Strong understanding of employment law, labor regulations, and HR best practices.
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.
- Post-degree Certification (B.L) is an added advantage.
Job Description
- Recruit the right human assets for the organization, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Oversee employee engagement and performance management to foster a positive work environment.
- Ensure employee policies are effectively communicated and understood throughout the organization.
- Compile and maintain comprehensive employee reports for informed decision-making.
- Process, verify, and maintain accurate employee documentation.
- Plan and develop training activities for staff at all levels to support professional growth and development.
- Review all payroll components and deductible elements (e.g., PAYE, ITF, NHF, Pension) for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Ensure effective management of organizational properties.
- Review and manage leases to ensure compliance and organizational needs.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks for business units.
- Process complex legal documents and craft workable, executable agreements for all group business activities.
- Advise executives and employees on changes to laws affecting the company.
- Oversee lawsuits, possibly acting as chief litigator.
- Ensure the company completes and submits all necessary legal paperwork.
- Contribute to increasing the company’s profitability and shareholder value as a senior manager.
- Ensure safe storage of legal documents to protect against theft or destruction.
- Maintain a register of all legal documents related to the company’s identity, such as CAC documents and MEMART.
- Ensure all agreements and security documents tendered as collateral are registered, documented, and identified.
- Maintain records of all Board meetings and ensure they are duly signed by authorized officers.
- Review all security documents in custody to determine if any are due for return to their owners.
- Maintain a register of all shareholders of the company.
- Ensure timely dispatch of notices for AGM and Board meetings.
- Undertake any other related responsibilities as assigned by the Group Managing Director/CEO.
