Assistant Financial Controller
Qualifications
- HND/BSC in Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- Managerial experience for a Large/Medium-sized organization.
- Knowledge of Treasury and Foreign Currency Operations.
- Knowledge of ERP, Microsoft Excel, and other financial planning software.
- Experience of Foreign Currency Purchases is an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs and variances.
- Work closely with the production team to understand cost drivers and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Perform financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Work closely with the finance team and other departments to achieve organizational goals.
