The Printing Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing machines to produce high-quality printed materials in line with job specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. The role ensures consistent print accuracy, minimal waste, and safe machine operation within a manufacturing environment.

Key Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a flexible packaging printing environment.
• Must have hands-on experience operating Pelican and Cerrutti
• Strong knowledge of printing processes, presses, inks, substrates, and materials.
• Ability to read and understand job tickets, color guides, and basic technical documents.
• Good understanding of quality control standards in printing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate printing presses, including offset, flexographic, digital, screen, or gravure machines.
• Review and interpret job tickets, artwork, and production specifications.
• Adjust machine parameters such as ink levels, registration, speed, and color balance to achieve optimal print quality.
• Load substrates, inks, and other required materials for production.
• Monitor print output continuously and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Inspect finished products for color accuracy, alignment, and defects.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate production records, including output, waste, and machine downtime.
• Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental standards and procedures.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and well organized at all times.
