Our client, a leading and reputable organization in the Manufacturing sector, is seeking to hire a Procurement Officer. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring timely sourcing, documentation, and coordination between vendors, stores, and finance for smooth material flow and payment processing.

Key Requirements

• HND/B.Sc. in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in procurement.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end procurement processes
• Good market intelligence and vendor sourcing knowledge
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Effective coordination and communication skills with end users, vendors, and contractors

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assigned procurement duties and report directly to the Procurement Manager.
• Source, evaluate, and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Track, monitor, and schedule all material, equipment, and personnel purchase orders to ensure timely availability.
• Open new vendor accounts and onboard suppliers when necessary.
• Monitor inventory levels and oversee purchasing activities to prevent stock-out or excess supply.
• Develop and implement inventory control and documentation procedures.
• Review supplier quotations, proposals, and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to confirm material and equipment specifications.
• Attend vendor or supplier meetings as required.
• Demonstrate sound understanding of local and OEM spare parts sourcing.
• Manage supplier performance, compliance, and resolution of delivery or quality issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams, operations, and external agencies to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and import requirements including NAFDAC, PAAR, SONCAP, Form M, and Customs clearance.
