The Gender, Safeguarding, and Inclusion Officer will support the integration of inclusive and equitable practices across all programs and operations. The role focuses on promoting gender equality, ensuring the protection of vulnerable groups, and advancing the meaningful participation of persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, Disability Studies, Human Rights, Law, or a related field.
•  Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in gender mainstreaming, safeguarding, and social inclusion within development or humanitarian settings.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)  is required.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.

Key Responsibilities 

• Support the development and implementation of action plans that promote gender equity, inclusion, and safeguarding across programs.
• Ensure that safeguarding, anti-harassment, and respect-at-work policies are effectively communicated and enforced.
• Coordinate and provide support for gender, disability, and safeguarding activities at the field and program levels.
• Contribute to the development of IEC materials and awareness campaigns that promote inclusive practices.
• Participate in gender and disability assessments to identify and help address barriers to inclusion in project activities.
• Monitor program activities and feedback mechanisms to ensure compliance with organizational and donor safeguarding standards.
• Serve as a focal point for safeguarding concerns, ensuring timely, ethical, and confidential handling.
• Collaborate with NGOs, community leaders, and other stakeholders to strengthen advocacy and partnerships for inclusion.
• Support proposal development and reporting to ensure gender and disability considerations are well integrated.
