Our client, a reputable leader in the manufacturing sector, is seeking to hire an exceptional Cost Accountant

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Professional certification, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA. is required.
• Minimum of 5-7  years of progressive cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and production processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems, documentation, and procedures.
• Prepare and analyze cost reports, product costing, and variance analyses to support management decision-making.
• Monitor and control manufacturing overheads, material costs, and labor efficiency.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly closing activities related to inventory valuation, WIP, and cost of goods sold.
• Collaborate with production and procurement teams to analyze cost drivers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare detailed budgets and forecasts and track performance against targets.
• Review standard costs periodically and update as necessary based on current production realities.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and audit requirements.
• Support management in pricing strategies and margin analysis for various product lines.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and provide recommendations for process improvement.
• Supervise cost accounting team members and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
