Our client in the Manufacturing sector seeks to hire for the role of National Collection Manager- PET Bottles.

• HND/BSC in Management, Supply Chain, or related fields
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the recycling or waste management industry
• Background in Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain, Security, or Warehousing
• Proven experience managing suppliers, customers, and distributed teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work effectively across informal and professional sectors
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and streamline operational processes
• Familiarity with community engagement and grassroots mobilization

• Build and maintain strong relationships with PET suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of recyclable materials
• Travel within Nigeria to identify new PET sources and support collector development
• Lead and manage a distributed team of 7+ across multiple cities, fostering accountability and growth
• Supervise 3+ collection centers, optimizing operations and reducing operational costs
• Prepare and submit weekly reports on volume collected, cost metrics, and supplier performance
• Engage with suppliers, community members, and key stakeholders to increase recycling awareness and collaboration
• Innovate new collection strategies and sourcing methods to meet monthly PET collection targets
• Streamline the sorting, bailing, tracking, and storage processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Ensure timely coordination with suppliers and logistics partners for uninterrupted material flow
• Monitor and ensure all collection sites and suppliers adhere to health and safety protocols
• Reduce bailing time and operational inefficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate and timely data reporting on collection volumes and activities
• Drive supplier development, helping at least 10 suppliers scale to a minimum of 50 tonnes/month
• Expand sourcing network by securing at least 10% of supply from new suppliers or regions
• Increase direct collections from commercial establishments like pubs, restaurants, schools, and events
• Participate in and support community-based plastic collection and awareness activities
