Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing sector, is seeking to hire a Production Manager - Masterbatch

Key Requirements

• HND/B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in masterbatch or plastic compounding production.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of extrusion processes, pigments, additives, and polymer resins.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, production planning tools, and lean manufacturing practices.
• Experience in ISO standards and quality management systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Quality and Maintenance teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and control manufacturing activities to optimize productivity and maintain quality.
• Supervise and lead a team of production officers, supervisors, operators, and contract staff.
• Ensure daily production targets are met within the scheduled timeframe.
• Enforce and maintain quality control standards throughout the production process.
• Oversee raw material planning and utilization to minimize waste and control costs.
• Track and improve production KPIs such as efficiency, downtime, and yield.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, R&D, Stores, and Maintenance departments for seamless operations.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement SOPs and training programs for production staff.
• Maintain accurate production records and generate periodic management reports.
• Manage production equipment maintenance, including coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Report regularly to upper management on production challenges and updates.
• Maintain ISO documentation and ensure continuous process improvements.
