- HND/ B. Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 4–8 years of experience in distillery and ETP operations
- Experience in the ethanol, sugar, or alcohol industries preferred
- Strong understanding of fermentation and distillation processes
- Knowledge of anaerobic and aerobic ETP systems and effluent treatment parameters (COD, BOD, TSS, pH)
- Familiarity with process instrumentation and SCADA/DCS operations
- Leadership and team coordination
- Process troubleshooting and analytical thinking
- EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and regulatory compliance
- Strong record-keeping and reporting abilities
- Effective communication and coordination skills
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise milling, liquefaction, fermentation, distillation, CO₂ recovery, and WTP processes
- Ensure optimal functioning of distillation equipment and process systems
- Coordinate raw material input, product output, and adjust process parameters for efficiency
- Monitor and manage utility consumption (steam, water, power)
- Ensure production targets are met with maximum efficiency and yield
- Oversee anaerobic digesters, clarifiers, aeration tanks, and sludge systems
- Monitor effluent parameters (COD, BOD, TSS, pH) to ensure regulatory compliance
- Work with laboratory personnel for routine sampling and data analysis
- Identify and rectify abnormalities to prevent environmental violations
- Lead, supervise, and train operators, helpers, and maintenance staff during shifts
- Maintain shift-wise logbooks, production data, and handover reports
- Report operational issues, deviations, and emergencies to management
- Implement and enforce safety, hygiene, and environmental protocols
- Ensure all personnel use PPE and follow EHS policies
- Support internal and external audits for safety, quality, and environment
- Participate in emergency drills and preparedness programs
