Our client, a reputable leader in the Agricultural sector, is looking to recruit a skilled Decanter Operator.

Key Requirements:

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field
• 1–3 years of experience operating decanter centrifuges in a process plant (e.g., distillery, ETP, food, oil & gas industries)
• Basic understanding of mechanical components such as bearings, pumps, and seals
• Familiarity with process flow and decanter centrifuge operation
• Experience with centrifuge brands such as Alfa Laval, Flottweg, GEA, or Sharples is an added advantage
• Preventive maintenance basics
• Good record-keeping and teamwork abilities
• Understanding of safety and hygiene practices

 Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor decanter centrifuge units for efficient solid-liquid separation
• Monitor parameters such as feed rate, differential speed, torque, vibration, and flow for optimal performance
• Conduct pre-startup checks and routine equipment inspections
• Perform CIP (cleaning-in-place), backflushing, and minor maintenance tasks
• Log operational data such as flow rates, solids content, and downtimes in shift records
• Detect abnormalities and collaborate with maintenance teams for prompt resolution
• Ensure correct feeding of slurry or biomass according to process needs
• Comply with safety and environmental regulations during operations
• Monitor sludge cake dryness and centrate clarity to meet process KPIs
• Assist during equipment startups, shutdowns, and overhauls
