Our client, a reputable leader in the nanufacturing sector, is seeking to recruit a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems.

Key Requirements :

  • First degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5–7 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong Troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Key Responsibilities

  1. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation faults.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures.
  • Maintain production machinery including motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, control panels, and drives.
  1. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring.
  • Ensure maintenance checklists are completed accurately.
  • Support predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
  1. Equipment Installation & Commissioning
  • Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery.
  • Support equipment upgrades and improvement projects.
  • Test and validate new equipment before production use.
  1. Utilities & Facility Support
  • Maintain generators, compressors, boilers, HVAC systems, and water systems.
  • Ensure continuous power and utility supply to production.
  • Support facility maintenance when required.
  1. Safety & Compliance
  • Adhere to all HSE policies and procedures.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices during maintenance work.
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory equipment inspections.
  1. Documentation & Reporting
  • Update maintenance logs and equipment history records.
  • Record downtime incidents and corrective actions.
  • Provide daily/weekly reports to Maintenance Manager.
  • Use CMMS (where available) to manage work orders.
  1. Continuous Improvement
  • Recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability.
  • Support TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives.
  • Contribute to reducing maintenance costs and improving efficiency.
