The role involves partnering with business leaders to align people strategies with organizational goals while overseeing core HR functions, employee engagement, talent management, and compliance.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environment.
- Professional HR certification is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law and HR best practices.
- Hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and HR operations.
- Experience partnering with line managers to implement people initiatives and support business objectives.
- Good stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with line managers to implement HR initiatives that support business and departmental objectives.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for assigned business units.
- Support employee engagement, performance management, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
- Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, grievance resolution, and conflict management.
- Implement and monitor HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate learning and development programs to improve employee performance and capability.
- Support payroll administration, compensation and benefits processes, and HR operations.
- Monitor HR metrics and prepare reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Support organizational development, culture-building, and change management initiatives across the business.
