Apply For JobOur client, a reputable production industry leader, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to oversee plant maintenance, ensure equipment reliability, and minimize downtime.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 4–7 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Hands-on experience in PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) of industrial equipment such as hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveying systems, basic pumps, fillers, packaging machines, can plant equipment, processing lines, powder plants, and mayonnaise/powder filling systems.
- Strong knowledge of utilities and production plant equipment.
- Proven experience in preventive, corrective, and planned maintenance systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical breakdowns efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of power distribution systems and production equipment planning.
- Experience in spare parts management and inventory control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to supervise and train mechanical technicians.
- Knowledge of safety standards and industrial maintenance compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive and planned maintenance schedules for all plant equipment.
- Supervise all mechanical maintenance activities during assigned shifts.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain records of breakdowns and maintenance activities for performance tracking.
- Recommend modifications and process improvements to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- Monitor machine condition and report required spares for smooth plant operations.
- Manage mechanical spare parts, consumables, and hand tools within approved budget.
- Ensure equipment reliability to support production targets.
- Train and mentor subordinate mechanical technicians and operators.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintenance standards.
