- First degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5–7 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Strong Troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation faults.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures.
- Maintain production machinery including motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, control panels, and drives.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring.
- Ensure maintenance checklists are completed accurately.
- Support predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
- Equipment Installation & Commissioning
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Support equipment upgrades and improvement projects.
- Test and validate new equipment before production use.
- Utilities & Facility Support
- Maintain generators, compressors, boilers, HVAC systems, and water systems.
- Ensure continuous power and utility supply to production.
- Support facility maintenance when required.
- Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all HSE policies and procedures.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices during maintenance work.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with statutory equipment inspections.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Update maintenance logs and equipment history records.
- Record downtime incidents and corrective actions.
- Provide daily/weekly reports to Maintenance Manager.
- Use CMMS (where available) to manage work orders.
- Continuous Improvement
- Recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability.
- Support TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives.
- Contribute to reducing maintenance costs and improving efficiency.
