Our client, a reputable leader in the Agricultural sector, is looking to recruit a skilled ETP Operator.

Key Requirements

• HND/ B.Sc. in Sciences or Chemical Engineering
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in ETP operations
• Experience in the ethanol, sugar, or alcohol industries preferred
• Strong knowledge of anaerobic and aerobic ETP systems and effluent treatment parameters (COD, BOD, TSS, pH)
• Familiarity with process instrumentation and SCADA/DCS operations
• Familiarity with Pollution Control Board norms
• Understanding of safety and hygiene practices

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) during assigned shifts in line with approved SOPs.
• Monitor and control ETP process parameters to ensure effective wastewater treatment and regulatory compliance.
• Handle and monitor dosing of treatment chemicals and ensure proper chemical usage.
• Record operational data, wastewater quality results, and chemical consumption during shifts.
• Operate ETP equipment and systems, including pumps, blowers, filters, and PLC/DCS-controlled units.
• Conduct routine checks on equipment, utilities, and safety gear to ensure plant readiness.
• Perform process sampling and basic testing of effluent as required.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety standards, including proper use of PPE.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and safety-related activities.
• Communicate operational issues, deviations, and corrective actions to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and handover reports.
• Carry out any other assigned duties related to ETP operations.
