Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Environmental Science, or any other related field.

Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience operating a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) within an ethanol, biofuel, distillery, or process manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of industrial water treatment processes such as clarification, filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), and chemical dosing systems.

Ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and process-related issues involving pumps, valves, pipelines, and treatment equipment.

Good knowledge of industrial safety standards, environmental regulations, and pollution control compliance.

Ability to follow written and verbal operational instructions and work effectively on shift schedules.
Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor Water Treatment Plant operating parameters to ensure a continuous supply of treated water for ethanol production processes.

Monitor process water quality and chemical consumption on a shift basis in line with production requirements.

Ensure availability of raw materials and dosing chemicals, equipment readiness, utilities, manpower, and PPE prior to and during operations.

Coordinate with production, utilities, maintenance, and quality teams to support uninterrupted ethanol manufacturing operations.

Supervise daily WTP operations and provide guidance to junior operators in line with approved standard operating procedures.

Ensure WTP operations comply with environmental regulations and pollution control board standards.

Perform operational adjustments to control hardness, residuals, and overall water quality while maintaining efficient and cost-effective plant performance.

Maintain accurate operational logs, records, and reports related to WTP activities.
